I’m Sara — founder, creative director, and fairy godmother behind The Play Makers.

This world began as a spark — a wish to bring back the kind of play that feels magical, intentional, and worth keeping. I wanted to design experiences that go beyond the moment — toys that invite imagination, creativity, and wonder to stay a little longer.

As a mum of two little girls, I found myself surrounded by toys that broke, cluttered, or simply disappeared from memory. So I set out to create something different — pieces that children could treasure, display, and return to again and again.

Every detail you see — from the scalloped edges to the handmade fairies and refillable kits — is thoughtfully designed to feel nostalgic yet new, whimsical yet grounded in craftsmanship.

What started at my kitchen table has grown into a small but mighty world of creativity, colour, and storytelling. A world where play is art, and magic lives in the everyday.
